Minnow asked: On a residential project, the cost of a mistake made by a contractor is routinely absorbed by the contractor. In this case, our architect made a design error that will cost us over $1,000 to fix. Is there a similar expectation that an architect absorbs the financial impact of his/her mistakes?

SanMateo dad asked: We are considering a small addition to our house. Our contractor has suggested a drafting service to help with the design. Will this be all the contractor will need? Is it less costly than an architect?
